Yole Villaggio was born under the warm sun of Sicily, an island rich in history, culture, and breathtaking landscapes. From her earliest steps, she was drawn to a world of colors and shapes. For Yole, colored pencils were not just simple tools but true playmates that contributed to shaping her artistic journey.
My Philosophy
Her education led her to earn a degree from the Academy of Fine Arts in Catania, distinguishing herself for talent and passion. Endowed with a natural spirit of observation, Sicily became an endless source of inspiration for her. It is in the variety of its landscapes, the scents of its land, and the murmur of the sea that Yole found the essence of her art: a delicate balance between attention to detail, contemplation of natural wonders, and artistic creation. Despite her visceral love for her homeland, Yole decided to move to Milan, a city with a frenetic pace but full of opportunities.
Her connection with nature, understood not only as a source of inspiration but also as a precious asset to preserve, is palpable in every piece of her work. Yole aspires to instill in people’s hearts an awareness of the importance of preserving our artistic and landscape heritage, both material and immaterial. Her artistic mission goes beyond mere representation: Yole aims to educate, inspire, and show the world how essential it is to coexist in harmony with oneself, others, and the surrounding environment.
